Chatham-Kent’s hospital is welcoming two new physicians to its team of healthcare professionals.
The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance has hired urologist Dr. Fernanda Berto and pediatrician Dr. Stephanie Jarrin, who are now both accepting patients.
Originally from Brazil, Dr. Berto holds a medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Sao Paulo, where she also completed residencies in general surgery and urology. She is also completing an Endourology Fellowship, a Master of Science degree, and an Andrology and Reconstruction Fellowship at Western University’s Schulich School of Medicine.
Dr. Berto, who is also fluent in both English and Portuguese, has opened a clinic in the Chatham-Kent community, sharing an office space with fellow urologist Dr. Christopher Langley.
Dr. Jarrin holds a Bachelor of Science in Medical Radiation Science from McMaster University and a Doctorate in Medicine from the American University of Antigua. She has also completed a three-year residency in pediatrics in Brooklyn, New York before serving as a Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Fellow at the University of Maryland in Baltimore from 2021 to 2023.
Those needing a referral for either physician should speak with their primary care provider.
