In a Public Service Announcement issued today, the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance says patient records were found on the front lawn of a member of the community in early March 2017.
According to the Health Alliance, the document was a copy of an Operating Room report, which included the name, age, birth date, health card number, and other personal data from seven patients.
Through investigation, the CKHA determined that there was “no malice intent or compromise to patient personal health information”.
All of the patients have been notified of the breach.
The CKHA says they will continue to support transparent and open communication with the community.
