A changing of the guard is coming to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.

After a 39-year career in health care, the past seven at CKHA, Lori Marshall has announced her retirement as President and CEO.

Marshall joined the organization in 2017 as it was coming out of provincial restructuring and supervision and was immediately put to the task of regaining public trust and staff morale.

During her tenure, she helped secure Ministry of Health funding for the redevelopment of the Wallaceburg site, launched the hospital’s Withdrawal Management Service, and led the organization through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Marshall will leave her position this coming summer, although an exact date for her retirement has yet to be announced.

In the meantime, the Board of Directors has established a CEO Selection Committee to oversee the recruitment process for Marshall’s replacement.
