The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance is being honoured for its dedication to helping cancer patients.
Nancy Snobelen, Director of Partnerships and System Integration, says recognition from the group Cancer Care Ontario is not only a feather in the cap for the hospital itself, but to the community as a whole. “To do best practice and to be performing at a level that Cancer Care recognizes is important as a service provider to reassure the public that they can get care very close to home in an excellent way.”
Snobelen says the hospital has a great team working together in the best interest of cancer patients.
The Health Alliance was recognized “Surgical Oncology – Referral to Consult” and “Pathology Post-Surgical Report Turnaround Time for All Disease Sites” for the 2015/16 fiscal year.
CKHA was also named most improved in Ontario for the indicator “Surgical Oncology Program: Decision to Treat to Treatment.”
