
Chatham-Kent’s hospital is expanding its OB/GYN team with the addition of a new physician.
The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance has hired Dr. Jessica Smith to its Obstetrics and Gynecology department. She will join four other physicians working alongside the midwifery team to provide comprehensive care to patients across the municipality.
Dr. Smith will practice alongside Dr. Charles Hamm at his clinic at 100 King St. W in Chatham, providing a broad spectrum of services, including pre-pregnancy counselling, comprehensive pregnancy care, and postpartum support. She will also provide care to those managing pelvic pain, endometriosis, fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding, and menopause, among other services.
The Windsor-Essex native graduated from the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry in Windsor in 2016 before completing a five-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Toronto. She has also completed a specialized Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery in Toronto.
Dr. Smith has practiced as an Obstetrician/Gynecologist in Toronto, Waterloo, and Cambridge.
