Officials at the Chatham-Kent Public Library are encouraging everyone to dig into a good book this summer.

A two day Summer Reading Launch Party is being held later this month at the Chatham library, inviting children of all ages to begin a summer of adventure through books, with activities inspired by global journeys and the wonders of time and history.

On Friday, June 27, kids are invited to sign up for the TD Summer Reading Club and checkout an item to receive one free scoop of ice cream from Riverside on the Road by Riverside Ice Cream in front of the library from 11am to 2pm.

On Saturday, June 28, the excitement continues with games, crafts, and reading fun for the whole family.

For more Summer Reading events, be sure to check out what’s happening at your local CKPL branch by visiting the Program Calendar or follow @CKPLibrary on Facebook and Instagram.
