Chatham-Kent Police are once again reminding residents not to call 911 if it’s not an emergency.
In the last 24 hours, the communication centre fielded 19 false calls.
There are a number of other contact numbers for non-emergency incidents, reporting an anonymous crime, or to speak with an officer.
If you have a life threatening emergency or would like to report a crime in progress, call 911 immediately.
For all other non-emergency incidents, call the Dispatch Center at 519-352-1234.
If you would like to speak with an officer regarding a general inquiry, call 519-352-1234 x9.
If you have information on a crime and would rather remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477.)
