A multi-jurisdictional drug bust has left nine people facing 63 charges.

An investigation was launched in October, 2023 into trafficking of illicit drugs in London, parts of Western Ontario, the GTA, and Thunder Bay.

A number of search warrants were executed in London, Thunder Bay, Mississauga, and Vaughan on February 28th, seizing a total of $629,000 worth of drugs, three loaded handguns, 36 rounds of ammunition, as well as silver bars, silver coins, and jewellery.

Four London residents were arrested, along with one suspect from Toronto and four from Mississauga.

Members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service joined the OPP-led Provincial Joint Forces Guns and Gangs Enforcement Team along with authorities from Sarnia, London, and St Thomas in the investigation.
