Police are investigating the cause of a crash that has claimed the life of a Tilbury man.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called at around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday about a man that had not returned home from work.
Officers searched the route between the man’s Chatham workplace and his Tilbury home and located his vehicle in a ditch shortly before 2 a.m. on the west side of Merlin Line in Tilbury East Township.
The 25-year-old man, who was in the driver’s seat, was extracted from the vehicle and rushed to the hospital he was pronounced dead.
Merlin Line was closed for several hours but has since been reopened to traffic.
