A busy morning for emergency crews in Chatham-Kent.
Police were called to a serious three-vehicle collision on Longwoods Road just east of Louisville shortly before 8 o’clock.
Emergency crews say a total of five people were taken to hospital, four with critical injuries and another with moderate injuries.
Longwoods Road is expected to remain closed between Centre Side Road and Lindsay Road until at least mid-to-late afternoon.
Meantime, authorities are also responding to a crash and subsequent gas leak in Dresden following a collision near Cedar Hedge Line and North Street.
No serious injures have been reported in that incident.
