Just a slight uptick in Chatham-Kent’s COVID numbers over the weekend.

Public health is reporting five new cases and four recoveries, bringing the total active caseload to 22.

There’s been one more case added to the outbreak in the Health Alliance medicine unit at the Chatham hospital, however the outbreak at Fairfield Park is holding steady.

Just eight new cases being reported in Lambton County today, while the Windsor-Essex health unit has added 13 new cases and one more death linked to the virus.

Province-wide, another 11 people have died from COVID-19. The Ministry of Health is also reporting 1058 new cases today.

Meantime, Premier Doug Ford is expected to make an announcement at Queen’s Park this afternoon as the province continues to ease COVID restrictions. Toronto, Peel, and North Bay-Parry Sound the only areas still in lockdown, York Region and Lambton County were moved in to the Red framework today.
