The number of active cases of COVID-19 continues to drop in Chatham-Kent.
Today’s update from Public Health shows 6 new positive tests and 17 recoveries, lowering the active caseload to 21.
There have been no new infections related to the outbreaks at either Fairfield Park or the medicine unit at the Health Alliance, the only active outbreaks in the municipality.
Walpole Island First Nation currently has nine active cases.
Four more deaths in Windsor-Essex have been linked to the virus. The region’s public health unit is also announcing 23 new cases today.
In Lambton County, a dozen new cases are being reported, bringing the total active caseload to 95.
