One of the two outbreaks of COVID-19 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance has been declared over.
An outbreak was first reported in the COVID unit at the hospital on January 27th, but the two cases linked to it have now been resolved.
Meantime, the outbreak in the hospital’s medicine unit is still listed as active. Fairfield Park is still in outbreak mode, although the number of cases is holding steady with no infections being reported today.
Overall, Chatham-Kent’s active caseload has dropped to 115 with two new cases reported today and 16 recoveries.
Around the region, Windsor-Essex is reporting two more deaths linked to the virus along with 21 new infections.
Lambton County has just two new confirmed cases today.
Province-wide, there are 1076 new cases being reported today along with 18 COVID-related deaths.
