CK’s COVID Numbers Dip Again

Another dip in Chatham-Kent’s active COVID cases. Public Health is reporting three new infections over the weekend along with five recoveries, lowering the total active case count to 15.

The outbreak at Fairfield Park is holding steady with just one staff member affected, as of the last update from the long term care facility.

Across Ontario, the province is reporting 1023 cases today and another 6 deaths linked to COVID-19.

Windsor-Essex is adding 28 new cases today, while Lambton County’s overall numbers went up by one with 11 new cases reported and 10 recoveries.

Meantime, Lambton Public Health has been chosen as one of six Ontario health units to take part in a pilot project of the new online immunization booking system.

It’s not open the public quite yet, the test run is being used by members of the county’s paramedics and EMS staff.

Both the online portal and provincial call centre are expected to be up and running for everyone on March 15th.
