It’s a weekend of summer fun in Chatham-Kent.

The Thamesville Threshing Festival returns this weekend, kicking off with the parade at 6:30 Friday night, along with the midway and live entertainment. Saturday’s festivities include the truck and tractor pull display, baby show, Junior Farmers and Farmers Olympics, entertainment, food vendors, and fireworks to cap off the day.

The sound of engines will fill the air in Pain Court Friday with the annual Tractor Pull under the water tower. That event kicks off at 7 o’clock.

Blenheim plays host to the 11th annual Classics Auto Show on Saturday with over 100 classic and vintage vehicles lining the downtown core.

Sons of Kent will be rocking Saturday with the Music for the Mind fundraiser, including a number of live bands, food trucks, and outdoor games. All proceeds support Family Services Kent and their KIDS Team program.

And supporters will be lacing up their running shoes on Sunday for the Run for the Kids, a fundraiser for the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent. The event at Rondeau Provincial Park kicks off at 9:30 with a 200 metre kids’ fun run/walk/move. The adults hit the pavement at 10.
