A major bridge rehabilitation project is getting underway today, which could cause traffic headaches for some residents in Orford for months to come.
The Clachan Bridge will be closed over the Thames River starting today and running through the end of October.
The bridge is expected to be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic until the fall of 2022.
A detour directing traffic across Hagerty and Morrison Roads in Wardsville will be in place for the duration of the project.
