Four new names have officially been enshrined in the Chatham Sports Hall of Fame.
The class of 2026 was first announced back in July, with an induction ceremony held Thursday night.
This year’s inductees include Max Allin as the Modern Athlete for basketball. Allin was a three-time UCC Athlete of the Year and played in Australia, earning league defensive player honours and helping his team to the championship finals.
Paul Allen was inducted in the legend category for baseball. Allen was a three-time OBA provincial champion. He had a nine-year career in the Intercounty Baseball League from 1963 until 1972, was a two-time IBL all-star, and named one of the top 30 London Majors players of all time.
Jason Chickowski was honoured in the Builder category for his work with Chatham Minor Baseball, and the 1972-73 Chatham Maroons, winners of the 1973 Buckland Cup, were added in the team category.
The Chatham Sports Hall of Fame is located within Memorial Arena.
