Details are being released about a major drug bust at Sarnia’s Blue Water Bridge.
Officials with the Canada Border Services Agency say back on December 11th, a commercial transport was pulled in for secondary inspection. Officers then discovered 89 bricks of suspected cocaine, weighing roughly 100 kilograms (over 220 pounds.)
The driver and passenger, both from Brampton, were arrested by the RCMP and have since been charged with importing cocaine and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
The matter remains before the courts in Sarnia.
