Some changes are coming to local cable.
Cogeco TV is being rebranded as YourTV.
Chatham-Kent Station Manager Peter Martin says YourTV helps to set the local service part.
“We are still part of Cogeco, and our branding actually includes Cogeco as well. But the idea is to differentiate your local television service from all of the other services that are available through Cogeco”, says Martin.
As far as programming goes, Martin says there will be a mix of old and new this fall, with the return of shows like Rotary Bingo and coverage of Chatham-Kent council meetings, as well as new programming ICYMI or “In Case You Missed It” that will include more social-media aspects.
“We are the only actual television service that serves the Chatham-Kent community. We want people to know that we’re here and we don’t want to get lost in the huge online media landscape. We want to make sure that YourTV is there for you”, Martin says.
