Chatham-Kent Medical Officer Dr. David Colby says despite the fact we have no COVID-19 vaccines in the municipality yet, it is certainly not from a lack of trying.
“ We get about 2 briefings a day, and the best guesstimate I have is that it will be here by the end of this month. We are all advocating and pushing real hard to get vaccines here sooner rather than later and that’s the best I can do right now. “
Colby says he has suggested to the province they start with 5,000 doses with the first round going to long term care facilities, residents and workers.
However he says that does not mean we will get 5,000 doses but whatever we get will go out immediately.
