Collision Leads To Impaired Driving Charge For Dresden Woman

A Dresden woman is facing an impaired driving charge following a two-vehicle collision.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said a woman was leaving a business on North Street on Sunday afternoon when she collided with a second vehicle.

The driver of the second vehicle followed the woman to another nearby business parking lot and was able to retrieve the woman’s keys and contact police shortly before 5 p.m.

Officers arrived at the scene and believing the woman had been drinking, took her into custody for further breath tests.

The 54-year-old accused is now charged with driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit. She was released from custody with conditions and an August court date.
