A crash near Wheatley has landed a Leamington man with charges.
Emergency crews responded to Wheatley Road just before 10 last night. Authorities say a vehicle left the road and struck a hydro pole.
Officers suspected the driver may have been drinking. The 28-year-old was arrested and taken to police headquarters in Chatham, where he was charged with having a blood alcohol level over the legal limit.
The accused was released with conditions and a date in court next month.
