What was expected to be a very colourful day at WDSS has turned somewhat dreary.
Officials at the high school have postponed today’s colour run because of the weather.
Athletic coach Janine Day says for now the event is limit to students and staff.
It’s a 3km walk/run all of our students and staff are included in this event, Each km each person, hopefully wearing white shirts, will get some colour on them. Following the event we’re having a BBQ in the courtyard with some live music and some games on the back campus,” says Day. “Right now this is our first year so we’re just going to keep it to the school. Next year we might grow and incorporate the community but this is kind of our tester year.”
Students will be hitting the bricks just after 11:30 on Monday, making their way to Crothers Park and back.
Motorists should expect some delays along the route until mid-afternoon.
