Over a dozen trucks have been pulled off the road following a commercial vehicle safety blitz earlier this week.
Chatham-Kent Police teamed up with the OPP, Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Transportation for a commercial vehicle enforcement yesterday.
In all, 29 vehicles were checked, 14 vehicles were taken out of service, and a total of 19 charges were laid.
Authorities are reminding all owners and drivers to keep safety top of mind, and say more initiatives like this will be held across the community in the future.
