The race to replace retiring MP Bev Shipley is heating up.
The federal Conservative party has announced the official opening of nominations for the riding of Lambton-Kent-Middlesex.
There are currently six candidates who have declared their intention to run, although the nomination period runs until February 14th.
While an exact date for a nomination meeting has not yet been set, it’s expected to be held before the end of March.
Canadians head to the polls on October 21st.
