Conservatives Gearing Up for the Federal Election

The race to replace retiring MP Bev Shipley is heating up.

The federal Conservative party has announced the official opening of nominations for the riding of Lambton-Kent-Middlesex.

There are currently six candidates who have declared their intention to run, although the nomination period runs until February 14th.

While an exact date for a nomination meeting has not yet been set, it’s expected to be held before the end of March.

Canadians head to the polls on October 21st.
