Along with construction on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg and the closure of the Highway 40-401 interchange, your morning commute could be affected by some bridge washing.
Several spans in South Kent are scheduled for bridge washing today, and it may cause some minor delays.
The Thamesville, Moraviantown, and Bothwell bridges will be cleaned today, and will be open to traffic, however, there will be lane restrictions.
Three bridges on Rose Beach Line – the ones going over the Wilcox, Ross and Langstaff drains – will also be reduced to one lane for cleaning.
On Kent Bridge Road, the bridges going over the Thames River and the McLean Drain will be washed, and minor delays are expected in those areas.
The cleaning should end by 7 this evening.
