Work is underway on the newest apartment project in Chatham-Kent.
The Piroli Group held a ground-breaking ceremony in Chatham yesterday for Park Place Apartments, a condo-style building located at 460 Park Avenue West.
The 90-million dollar project will include a total of 244 higher-end units split between two buildings.
While not intended as affordable housing, of which there is a great need in Chatham-Kent, officials say the apartments will free up housing stock across the municipality.
The first complex is expected to be complete in October, 2021.
