Several weeks of road work is set to begin today, which may cause some headaches for drivers in Chatham.
Road resurfacing will be taking place on sections of Grand Avenue West and Lacroix Street today through June 14th, depending on the weather.
Grand will have lane closures between Keil Drive North to Churchill Street, and Lacroix will be affected from Grand to King Street West.
Officials say both roads will remain open at all times, and access to all properties and businesses will be maintained. As well, bus stops on Route 1 will remain in service for the duration of the project.
However, there may be some traffic disruptions and delays, and drivers are urged to be patient and respect the safety of workers.
