Drivers through Chatham will have to keep their wits about them this week with more construction on area roads.
Crews are replacing light posts in the downtown core, blocking off westbound traffic along King Street between Fifth and William.
The Wellington Street sewer project extends out into the intersection with Lacroix this week, forcing traffic on Lacroix to be limited to one lane in each direction. Wellington itself remains shut down between Raleigh and Lacroix.
The Third Street Bridge remains closed, diverting traffic across the Fifth Street Bridge, Lacroix, or Keil Drive.
Elizabeth Street is open to local traffic only between McNaughton Avenue East and Gladstone for sewer work.
Construction crews will also be working around the intersection of Communication Road and Drury Line this week, with moving lane closures between Drury and the 401 through Friday.
Duart Road in Orford remains closed between Selton and Turin Line after a culvert collapse at the Aston Drain last week.
In the northern part of the municipality, work is taking place on Highway 40 from the northern limits of Wallaceburg to Stanley Line. Expect delays on that stretch through the end of the week as well.
And Queen Street North in Tilbury remains closed between Mill Street and Industrial Park Road for work on the 401 underpass
