In a report going to Chatham-Kent council tonight, it will show that the municipality spent $7.2 million on outside consultants and other professional services in 2020.
While that number may seem high, it is significantly lower than in 2019 when Chatham-Kent spent $8.5 million on consultants and other professional services.
Many municipal services have been contracted out by council to private enterprise to reduce municipal staffing levels.
