Tim Hortons restaurants in Wallaceburg are helping to support local health care.
The Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign was held last month with locations in Wallaceburg raising money to support the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation.
A cheque presentation was held at the Dufferin Avenue restaurant with owners Mike and Paula Grail earlier this week. In all, $7,889.36 was raised and will be evenly divided between the CKHA Our Hospital, Our Future Wallaceburg redevelopment campaign and Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.
The Holiday Smile Cookie campaign ran from November 17 to November 23 across Canada, with the proceeds from the sale of the white chocolate sugar cookies with red and green sprinkles being donated to charities and community groups across Canada.
Proceeds from Smile Cookies purchased at other Tim Hortons in Chatham-Kent supported the Chatham Goodfellows, Dresden Sidestreets Youth Centre, Thamesville Sertoma Club, Blenheim Youth Centre, and the Salvation Army Chatham Kent Ministries.
