1 C. shortening

1 C. brown sugar

¾ C. white sugar

2 eggs

2 C. oatmeal

2 C. coconut

2 C. Rice Krispies

1 tsp. vanilla

1 tsp. salt

2 C. flour

½ tsp. soda

1 tsp. baking powder

½ C. nuts

Preheat oven 375°. Cream shortening and sugars. Add beaten eggs. Stir in oatmeal, salt, flour, salt, baking powder and nuts. Fold in coconut, Rice Krispies and vanilla. Form into small balls and press down with glass dipped in sugar. Bake 375° 12 to 15 minutes.
