A pair of Chatham residents are facing charges after being stopped by police late last night.
The two are under a court order to stay away from each other, but were spotted riding an e-bike together near Park Avenue and Lacroix around 11 o’clock last night.
The officer’s attention was piqued because the bike didn’t have any lights on, and one of the suspects wasn’t wearing a helmet.
Upon further investigation, authorities found some bolt cutters, metal sheers, a screw driver, and pliers.
A 41-year-old man is charged with being in possession of break-in instruments and both he and his 19-year-old female companion have been slapped with two counts each of failing to comply with a court order.
