A corny fundraiser is back for a second year.
The Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation will be holding the Cornhole for Hospice tournament at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre in Chatham on Saturday, February 8, with proceeds going toward ensuring the hospice continues to offer quality end-of-life care.
Participants are encouraged to collect pledges for a chance to win a set of custom cornhole boards valued at $650 and other prizes.
Teams are guaranteed three games in a random round robin style tournament before being split into two divisions for a double-elimination tournament. The winning team of each division will receive a cash prize.
The inaugural event, held this past March, raised a total of $33,500 for hospice care in Chatham-Kent.
Registration is open with an early bird rate in effect until December 31st.
