Drivers are urged to take it slow this morning with freezing rain and light snow across the region, making road conditions a little slick.

Salters have been out across the municipality this morning and with mercury expected to rise to 9 Celsius, the slippery conditions aren’t expected to last long.

Meantime, windy weather will make for a rough few days along the Lake Erie shoreline.

The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority says gusts of up to 70 kilometres an hour are expected tonight and again tomorrow with the potential for shoreline erosion and the risk for wave spray flooding in some areas.
