Council to Consider Hotel Conversion

There could soon be one fewer hotel and one additional senior’s home in Chatham-Kent. council5

The owners of the Comfort Inn and Travelodge on the corner of Bloomfield and Richmond Streets have some big plans to change one of the buildings into a 100+ unit senior’s home.

Before that can happen, a zoning change will need to be made on Monday.

A final decision hasn’t been made on which hotel will be converted, but the proposed plan would be the Travelodge.
