Ridgetown could soon have Chatham-Kent’s first section of completed rail trail.

$475,000, as funded through a specific Entegrus fund for the trail’s development, would be spent on constructing, fencing, and access gating the 5.5 kilometre trail from Erie St. North and Kent Bridge.

The goal is to eventually create a trail that runs the length of the municipality and link CK with Lakeshore to the west and Elgin to the east.

Council will debate the project on Monday.
