A South Kent Councillor wants to take a closer look at Chatham-Kent’s housing crisis.

Anthony Ceccacci plans to table a motion at Monday night’s council meeting to direct administration to prepare a report on the potential for funding from upper levels of government to finance more affordable housing.

The motion also calls for a review of current and future municipal assets that could be used for future housing developments.

A special council meeting is slated for December 20th, focusing solely on homelessness and affordable housing.
