Crosswalks will be debated at Chatham-Kent Council this Monday.
The recommendation from staff is to install eight crosswalks, of varying styles, across the municipality.
The plan also sees the removal, two crosswalks in Ridgetown and two in Chatham.
The total cost is a bit more than 260-thousand dollars. There will also be a gap in service, as the guards end work Nov. 30th, and the crosswalks will be completed May 19th, at the latest.
To date, the dozen locations have been staffed by crossing guards, which council agreed to cut earlier this year.
