The first part of a plan to build a huge medical marijuana facility in Chatham-Kent will go before council Monday evening.
The site plan for the facility at 10078 Longwoods Rd. calls for an initial build of a 26 thousand square foot building.
The facility to be owned by Curative Cannabis, was initially presented to council in March. At the time neighbours expressed concern over the odor that could come from the plant.
The company has included state of the art technology to mitigate odor.
The initial work force would be about 25 employees. That would double when the facility expands by another 120,000 square feet in round 2.
