The country’s national unemployment rate dropped to 7.1% in March according to Stats Canada.
40,000 new jobs were added in March, pushing down the national unemployment rate from 7.3% in February.
Compared to this time last year, Canada added 129,600 net new jobs, an increase of 0.7 %.
Windsor’s rate dropped to 7%. London’s rose to 6.6%.
The country’s youth unemployment inched up 0.1% to 13.4% last month.
