A Chatham couple are facing charges after attempting to steal meat from a grocery store in Chatham last night. It just so happened they were caught in the act by an off duty police officer who watched the pair conceal the packages in their clothes. The 22 year old woman and 31 year old man have been charged with theft under 5,000 dollars.
