There has been a big jump in the number of cases of COVID-19 at Wallaceburg’s Fairfield Park Nursing home.
On Monday, Chatham-Kent Public Health reported a total of 7 cases, by Tuesday afternoon that number had soared to 18 including 13 residents.
In a statement the administrator says they are working with public health and and have taken swift action to halt the spread of the virus.
That includes isolating residents.
No other long term care facility in the municipality has had any residents test positive.
