A second person has died from COVID-19 on Walpole Island.
The First Nations community announced the news in its daily COVID update online yesterday. A spokesman for the Bkejwanong Territory says they aren’t releasing any details about the person’s identity for privacy reasons.
Walpole Island currently has seven active cases of the virus. Since the pandemic began, 72 residents have tested positive.
