COVID Assessment Centre Is Moving

New COVID Assessment Centre, 10 Grand Avenue West, Chatham.

Chatham-Kent’s COVID assessment centre is on the move.

The testing facility has been running at the St Clair College Healthplex since last October, but with a decrease in demand, the property is being turned back over to the college.

At its peak, the assessment centre was seeing over 250 people a day, but those numbers have drastically declined.

As of July 1st, the clinic will be shifting to 10 Grand Avenue West in the 7-11 plaza at the corner of Grand and St Clair.

The facility will run 9am to 5pm, seven days a week. You can find the booking information on our website at ckxsfm.com.

The Health Alliance and St Clair College reached an agreement at the start of the pandemic to use the Healthplex as a field hospital, and was then was shifted to the assessment centre last October.

Along with the Assessment Centre move, the partial Field Hospital still at the Healthplex will be dismantled and materials stored and re-purposed for future needs at the hospitals in Chatham and Wallaceburg.

Appointments can still be booked online at assessmentbooking.ca or by calling 519-436-2556.
