It’s still a season away but a popular fall fair in Lambton has been canceled already.

The Petrolia and Enniskillen Fall Fair has been scratched because of the on-going pandemic.

It was scheduled for September 10-12.

The Petrolia-Enniskillen Agricultural Society posted the announcement online, with a promise to get things going again in 2022.

“We came to this decision for many reasons. One, we are not sure when the government will start to allow festival-type events to start up again,” president Demi Krall says in a written statement. “Two, sponsorship is a large part of what helps our event run and we cannot in good Conscience ask businesses for money in these financially stressful times.”

The Plympton-Wyoming event was canceled several weeks ago.
