Another jump in new cases of COVID-19 today with 1983 positive tests announced today -a new single-day high.
As well, 35 more people have died from the virus across Ontario.
Closer to home, the Windsor area has its second straight day of more than 100 new cases. The health unit announced 104 new positive tests and the death of woman in her 70s.
It’s the 86th death linked to COVID-19 in Windsor-Essex since the pandemic began.
Lambton health officials have also announced another death connected to the virus, along with six new infections, bringing the total number of active cases to 28.
Chatham-Kent’s active caseload stands at 39 – the latest numbers will be released this afternoon.
