COVID Cases Continue to Rise in CK

COVID-19 continues to spread across Chatham-Kent amid the 7th wave of the pandemic.

This week’s update from CK Public Health includes 93 new high risk cases, raising the seven-day average to 13 cases a day. 

The positivity rate locally sits at 11.9%, up from 9.9% a week ago. The provincial rate is 15.2%. 

Four new COVID outbreaks have been declared in the last week, including two at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, St Angela’s Meadow Retirement Lodge, and Meadow Park in Chatham. Public Health also continues to monitor an outbreak at Copper Terrace nursing home, first declared July 13th.
