COVID Cases Dip Slightly, New Workplace Outbreak Declared

No big changes in Chatham-Kent’s COVID numbers today.

Public Health officials are reporting seven new infections and eight cases resolved, lowering the number of active cases to 57.

Three local residents are being treated for the virus at the Health Alliance.

The student transportation COVID outbreak linked to Tecumseh Public School in Chatham has been cleared, leaving four active outbreaks linked to schools in Chatham and Tilbury.

A new workplace outbreak has been declared, however public health doesn’t release any identifying information unless the business is open to the public.

There are also still ongoing outbreaks at a Chatham-Kent church and Tilbury Manor Nursing Home.
