COVID Cases Dip, Workplace Outbreak Declared Over

Chatham-Kent’s active COVID cases have slipped back down again.

Public Health is reporting 10 new infections over the weekend and 14 resolutions, lowering the total active caseload to 32.

Officials are still keeping tabs on the Medicine Unit outbreak, which now has a total of seven confirmed cases associated with it.

The outbreak at an un-named workplace has finally been declared over. First declared on April 27th, public health says the outbreak involved a total of 10 cases.

To date, 210 cases involving variants or related mutations have been identified in Chatham-Kent.
